Panarama Website a Winner!
Straight from David Pogue's Circuits newsletter, here is a link to a delightful website that I could spend many hours exploring. The technology is fascinating, and provides user-control over images with zoom in and out. Clicking on the imbedded links in the image map will take you to notes about the photographer and story behind each weekly panarama image. My fav at present is the street scene in Wellington, New Zealand, taken at the December premiere of the final LOTR movie. Be sure to have your sound on, as you will hear the recording of the sounds that were captured with each gigantic view. The panarama for New Year's Eve in Times Square, 2003 is here. The site says that Quick Time 5.5 is needed for the views. I also learned that clicking on the F11 key of your keyboard will produce a fullscreen image, which is better, by far. You may also click through the images in the archives back through 2002. Happy surfing!
